Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CopyBox (available at https://copybox.sk and at our physical CopyBox locations), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

CopyBox is a self-service document printing service. You upload your files through our website, pay online, and collect your printed documents at the CopyBox location you selected. We operate CopyBoxes across Slovakia.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use CopyBox. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that your use complies with all applicable Slovak and European Union law.

4. Pricing

The current price for printing is 0.18 EUR per page. The total cost is shown clearly before you confirm payment — there are no hidden fees.

We reserve the right to change our pricing. Any price changes will be communicated with reasonable advance notice and will not affect orders already paid.

CopyBox s.r.o. is not currently registered as a VAT payer. Prices shown are therefore not subject to VAT.

5. Payment

Online ordering and payment are temporarily unavailable while we transition to a new payment provider. This section will be updated with the applicable payment terms once online ordering resumes.

6. Acceptable use

You may use CopyBox only for lawful purposes. You agree not to upload or print:

• Content that is illegal under Slovak or European Union law
• Copyrighted material for which you do not hold the necessary rights or licences
• Content that infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party
• Files containing malware, viruses, or content designed to damage our equipment or systems
• Hate speech, extremist material, or content harmful to minors

We reserve the right to cancel orders that violate these conditions. In cases involving prohibited content, no refund will be issued.

7. Intellectual property

You retain full ownership of the files you upload. By uploading a file, you grant CopyBox a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence solely to process and print that file for the purpose of fulfilling your order. This licence terminates automatically once your file is deleted from our systems.

The CopyBox name, logo, and all website content are the property of CopyBox s.r.o. and may not be used without prior written permission.

8. Refunds

We will issue a full refund if your print job fails to complete due to a fault in our equipment or software, through no fault of your own. To request a refund, please contact podpora@copybox.sk within 7 days of the order date, including your order reference number. Refunds are processed within 14 business days.

Refunds are not available for orders that printed successfully, or for orders cancelled because the uploaded content violated our Acceptable Use policy.

As CopyBox is a pickup-only service and no physical goods are shipped to you, there is no return address or return shipping process — all refunds are issued as a monetary refund to your original payment method.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." CopyBox makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service's fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

CopyBox is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability in connection with any single order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep CopyBox available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Individual CopyBoxes may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, paper or toner shortages, network issues, or other technical problems. We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service to any user who violates these Terms of Service, without prior notice. Where the violation involves prohibited content, no refund will be issued for any affected order.

12. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Slovak Republic.

13. Delivery and pickup

CopyBox does not ship or deliver physical documents. Once your order is printed, it is available for collection only at the CopyBox location you selected when placing your order. There are no delivery or shipping fees, since no delivery takes place.

Printed documents are held at the CopyBox location for collection. We are not responsible for documents not collected within a reasonable time; please contact us if you are unable to collect your order.

14. Right of withdrawal

Under EU consumer law, you would normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. This right does not apply to CopyBox orders, because each printed document is produced specifically to your own specifications (the file you upload) and printing begins immediately once your order is placed. This falls under the exemption in Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU for goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you are not entitled to the standard right of withdrawal for this reason.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will take effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of CopyBox after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
